Sports in Finland Finland is a promised land of tracksuits, which have become our second national costume. With a tracksuit are able to do sports in every possible way. You can, for example, buy similar tracksuits with your spouse and go nordic walking. Nordic walking is the fastest growing sport in Finland today. Its success is on the simple fact that it doesn't matter how you look. If you are old and fat, you can still go nordic walking. All you need is a tracksuit and a pair of old ski poles to walk with. One of the more traditional sports here is Finnish baseball. It was originally developed to teach men to throw grenades well in wars, and it differs from American baseball. It is just envy people talking because Finnish baseball players are national stars, like ice-hockey players and skiers. Cross-country skiing is one of the most nobel sports in the world.
