Our school has friendship arrangements with schools in several countries, and we participate in student and teacher exchanges. Since 1987 our school has had a friendship arrangement with Csokonai high school (Csokonai Vitéz Mihály Gimnázium) in Debrecen in Hungary. Finnish can be studied as an optional foreign language at Csokonai school. For many years we have had cooperation also with Institution Join Lambert in Rouen, France.

Moreover, Kastelli school has taken part in Sokrates projects (Comenius programme/EU) which concerned Young people's conception of the world and their set of values and Sports and the Arts in the Context of Modern Life.

Every now and then native speakers contribute to our teaching of foreign languages, and the mastery of foreign languages is also reinforced in other subjects. During the past few years we have had the pleasure of working with several native speakers, e.g. Stephanie Buus (USA), Alistair Dinning (England) and Katrijn Convents (Belgium).
